Welcome to "One Way Philippines"
One way for the people of the Philippines .... forward!
One Way Philippines empowers those living in the mountian community and in the slums of the city through livlihood programs, educational assistance, and practical assistance meeting real needs in their lives.
The humanitarian outreaches stem from a church outreach established in the mountain community.
It is an unfortunate reality that almost a quarter of the population lives beneath the poverty line, earning less than 16,841 pesos (about $386) a year.
"Poverty begets poverty" is more than a cliche but is a real demonstration of the life cycles in the impoversihed areas we serve in.
We intend to do our part to change the tide by showing the love of Jesus in word and deed!
The sad reality is that many Filipinos live in impoverished conditions without vocational skills to navigate their way to a better life.
"Poverty begets Poverty" is more than a saying, but is a unfortunate life cycle for many children trapped in the slum areas without educational resource to improve their plight.
In the past few years poverty has increased among youth and urban residents—the two segments of the population that are growing the fastest.
Would you help us help them have a better place to grow up?
Meeting Real Needs
Ging was preparing to deliver her fourth child. She left her bamboo "house" in the mountains and was in the provential hopsital. Her husband made the journey from the mountains to visit Ging and to see his newborn child.
Once in the city the husband was hit by a van. The van driver brought him to the hospital but he insisted that he needed to get to the provential hospital so he could see his wife and child.
Would you like to make a real difference in someone's life? Would you like to be involved in the transformation of a community by enabling the children within the commuity to move forward?
Help us show them the love of Jesus in word and deed.

"Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?" - James 2:15-16
